In August 20th, 2014, at 193 Ba Trieu (British University Vietnam), the conference “Working in Non-governmental Organizations: Opportunities and Challenges”organized by members of Pioneer Fish Project took place successfully.
The conference had the participation of more than 100 attendees, including students, working persons, and even some parents who are interested in non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Especially, there was the presence of two well-known guest speakers, they are Mr. Quang Binh Le, the founder of ISEE (the Institute for Social and Economic Environment) and Ms. Thu Hue Do, the founder of MCD (the Centre for Marine life Conservation and Community Development). These two NGOs are active in the fields – environment and marine life – which gain many concerns of society.
At the beginning of the conference, MC. Huong began by common questions that most people wonder about NGOs to two guest speakers. Then, with practical experience, they enthusiastically shared difficulties and challenges of working at NGOs. Finally, questions of participants were satisfyingly answered by two speakers. In addition, at the end of the conference, good questions were received presents of PiFi’s sponsor – iBEST, 10 scholarships, 5 free library cards and 10 cute notebooks. Together with iBEST-IELTS, PiFi were also sponsored by Sukien360 and BUV – British University Vietnam.
